Trying to get rid of old odors from a jar or bottle?  Pour a mixture of 1 cup of hot water and 1 tbsp of baking soda (scale it up if necessary) into the container and let it soak for a few hours. The smell will be gone!

    Amanda – this works for glass, so I assume Pyrex would be fine. Haven't tried it for plastic!
