This past Monday, I attended the press preview of Milk Street Cafe in NYC’s Financial District. Being quite familiar with FiDi, I was really excited to explore this new dining option. Milk Street Cafe originated in Boston (any Boston readers familiar with it?) and this is their first foray into a second location. At 23,000 square feet, this was no small hole-in-the-wall!
As part of the preview, we were of course greeted with a selection of scrumptious eats:
such as chocolate, strawberry-banana and vanilla bean smoothies:
and freshly made risotto:
We also got to tour the kitchen facilities as well as see the chefs at work:
In all, I think Milk Street Cafe will be a welcome addition in the Wall Street area, with a barista station, made-to-order breakfasts, breads, dessert, Asian cuisine, a rotisserie, sushi bar and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. I’m looking forward to making another visit after they open on June 23rd! (FYI, if you’re in the area, they will be giving out free coffee and cookies from 10-11am that day) 🙂
