Did you know that Cheerios were originally called CheeriOats? The name was changed to its current form after a trade dispute with Quaker Oats.
Which do you prefer, Cheerios or CheeriOats?

July 15, 2011 at 11:37 amI’ve heard of that before. It won’t change my opinion towards it, I still love it. Though CheeriOats just makes it sound that much more healthier.

July 15, 2011 at 8:21 pmThat is a kind of fun fact! I do like “CheeriOats,” though — it sounds more… cheery? I also like the thought of Honey Nut CheeriOats. Kinda cute.

July 16, 2011 at 2:17 pmI kind of like “CheeriOats” – the T serves as kind of an anchor, reminding that you’re talking about a cereal, and not pretending to be an American character pretending to be British.
