Today is National Cherry Popsicle Day! Do you have cherry Popsicles in your freezer to celebrate?

“Popsicle” is actually a trademarked name, like “Walkman” or “Band-Aid.” The generic term is ice pop. So I guess I should say today is National Cherry Ice Pop day

14Luckily, we are stocked in popsicles for Irene. Of course, if the power goes, we’ll just have to eat them all Really Fast. A woman’s got to do what a woman’s got to do.

Stay safe and dry this weekend! We’re hunkered down here in the DC area, but think it’s going to be pretty mild when all is said and done. I hope that’s the case in NYC, too!
