Happy Friday, Noshers!  Got any fun plans for this New Year’s Eve?  As for me, I’ll be on a flight back to NYC – hope they have some festive New Year’s Eve celebrations on the flight!  This week’s fun fact is an interesting one:

Today is National Baking Soda Day.

I love baking soda, not only for its integral importance in many baked goods, but also because it has so many uses! My favorite use – deodorizing the fridge!

    for a week, i used an apple cider vinegar plus baking soda rinse for my hair. kinda fun! but as i type that, i see that it sounds totally weird.

    My newest use for baking soda that I love is to set my hair brushes and combs in a bowl of warm water and baking soda…it cleans off all the gunk/build up…so useful!

    There are tons of uses for baking soda, but the fridge one is my favorite, too. That, and cleaning buildup from the tiles in our shower with a toothbrush! Have a safe trip back 🙂

    I use baking soda for just about everything, but my favorite use is the same as Mina’s: I wash my hair with it (followed by an apple cider vinegar rinse). Since my hair is thicker and healthier and doesn’t fall out so much now, it’s definitely my favorite use!

    My favorite use is to use it to clean up my stove with the harsh grease stains. Some baking soda and a little vinegar (makes it bubble!) really gets those hard to clean areas. I wish you could have stopped shanghai too! 🙂 Maybe next time? 🙂

    My newest find was in using baking soda to take off labels from glass bottles so I can reuse them! Just soak them in water and baking soda for awhile (I usually do overnight), and then most of them come right off 🙂

    I always have baking soda in the fridge for that exact reason. it’s a miracle worker 🙂
