Hi, Noshers! I hope your first day back after Labor Day weekend went well! While I’m bummed that summer is unofficially over, I had a fantastic long weekend – who can complain about three days off, right? And a four-day week, woohoo! I’m really looking forward to this weekend, not the least of which because I will be attending PIG ISLAND 2013. Yes, an island full of pig – you better believe it, baby!

If you recall, I also attended PIG ISLAND 2012, which was absolutely amazing (check out my porcine–and-picture-packed recap here). This year’s event promises to be even better, if you can believe it, with 25 NYC chefs, 80 whole hogs, craft beer, NY state wine and cider, and live music. Yessssss. Should I start saving stomach space now?? Yes, I think I should. I am.
Pig Island 2013 takes place in Red Hook this year, right at the IKEA, and I plan to take the ferry from Manhattan. Tickets purchased in advance are $80 here, so get your hot little hands on these babies before they sell out . Will I see you there?
Go hog wild!! (You know I will).
