I’m not a supermarket extraordinaire, I just play one on tv.
Not that I’m complaining, but I can’t believe it’s Thursday already – this week flew by for me! I’m still living off the excitement of attending the NYC Wine & Food Festival this past weekend (check out my Chicken Coupe recap from yesterday). While I’m super exhausted and see a long weekend nap in my future, it was SO MUCH fun. What made it the most fun of all was attending the festival as a Progresso Artisan Ambassador as well as courtesy of Buick! I had some great chef celebrity sightings, met some truly fabulous fellow Ambassador/bloggers (hello Food And the City, Beauty and the Feast, Nutmeg Nanny, and NYC Talon!), and made some silly faces for random giveaways. While I might not have won a trip to Napa, I ate a ton – so almost even Stevens…right? For a few highlights, keep reading…
Ice cream sandwich on toasted brioche bun? I’ll take seven.
Scott Conant sighting! Doing my stealth paparazzi thing.
This grilled cheese and bisque was melty gooey good:
Just some arm candy to get me through the day – that would be an elastic hair band, my watch, a yellow bracelet to get me into the Atlantic City tourism section (I won two show tickets, yay!) and my festival bracelet. How many more things can I fit on my wrist?
SO MUCH SOUP!!! When I was a youngin’, I may or may not have once said I loved soup “the best” because you didn’t have to chew. Wow, I was lazy. I’ve since come to appreciate that some foods are worth chewing for, but I still love a good soup. Stay tuned for an upcoming post where I go into the newest Progresso Artisan soups in detail!
Progresso Artisan partner Joe Bastianich sharing his earliest memories about cooking and food (especially soup) with the crowd:
Progresso Artisan Ambassadors!
What follows are my ridiculous attempts to win a Delta flight to London, a trip to Napa from Buick, and an illy coffee machine. I’m still waiting for them to let me know that I’ve won! Stiiiiiill waiting….
The Korean Food Foundation had a really beautiful and extensive booth – I loved their samples, and the people manning the booth were super informative and friendly!
S’more cookies? Don’t mind if I do.
The talented chefs at Strip House stand behind their work!
Bloggers taking a break at the Buick booth.
Fancy festival frenzy!
The New York City Wine & Food Festival is pretty much as close as it gets to Christmas for me besides, well, Christmas. The food, the friends, the famous faces – I was in foodie paradise! I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to attend courtesy of Progresso Artisan as an Artisan Ambassador, Buick, and Time Warner Cable. I hope I am as lucky next year!

October 24, 2013 at 4:50 pmI was soooo happy to meet you, and had such a blast! I mean, besides having great taste in soups, I think Progresso also has great taste in bloggers 😉 Let’s hope Illy (I-L-L-Y) get’s around to informing us of our win, lol!
