Walkers Shortbread minis – everything is better in mini form!
Happy Tuesday, Noshers! How was your weekend? I ended up having to work this weekend, but at least I was able to eat several delicious meals – so I guess net neutral?? Anyway, today I’m excited to share some exiting news with you – for the next six months I will be partnering with Walkers Shortbread to be a Blogger Ambassador!
If you’ve been following the BAN blog, you’ll know that I’ve partnered with Walkers Shortbread several times already (see the bottom of this post for links!), and I absolutely love their product. So when I was asked to become an Ambassador, I was happy to put my support behind these shortbread cookies! Did you know that Walkers Shortbread is the leading brand of food exported from Scotland? I didn’t know that either – but given my family-wide fanaticism of this brand, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Nosh family had something to do with this statistic, just sayin’. The classic shortbread recipe (my personal fave) is made only from butter, flour, sugar and salt, with no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. This makes me feel a little better in indulging in a shortbread cookie or five.
As an Ambassador, I receive classic as well as new Walkers products to sample. And as an Ambassador, I am able to provide all of you (!) with promo codes each month that allow you free or discounted product! Here are the details for this month’s code:
- Code is BAMINI2014 for 20% off your entire purchase!
- Valid: Jan 25 – Jan 31 (this Friday!)
This month, I received the following samples to introduce me to the Walkers Shortbread brand (though I must admit I know the brand quite well via consumption, ha!)
- Mini Shortbread Fingers
- Mini Shortbread Rounds
- Mini Chocolate Chip Shortbreads
- Mini Crunchy Oatmeal Cookies
Though the fingers and rounds were familiar to me, I really enjoyed the snack-pack sized packages. I threw a pack in my bag for emergency snacking (I get hangry when I don’t eat!). The chocolate chip shortbreads and oatmeal cookies were completely new to me – and I loved them both! I thought I was a bit of a shortbread purist, so was a bit wary of the chocolate chip version – but they were goooood. The oatmeal cookies were crunchy and hearty; I ate them for breakfast and pretended I was being healthy ;). If you’re looking for a easy-to-carry, kid (or kid-at-heart) pleasing snack, I would definitely recommend these mini packs!
