Happy Hump Day, Noshers! The air is getting a cooler, the days are getting shorter – but no need to despair; that means food event season is here! Today I’m excited to share about an event I will be attending later this month – Project by Project‘s annual tasting event Plate by Plate NY!
If you recall…
…last year I attended Plate by Plate NY 2013 (see my recap here), and it was an absolutely delicious event – duck gumbo or foie gras macarons, anyone?? The lineup at this year’s event is looking to be equally stellar, with appearances by Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya, Cherry, Thalassa, The Sea Grill, Wooly’s, Yerba Buena Perry, and much more. Once again, I’m looking forward to eating impressive amounts of food. 🙂
Like many of the events I mention on the BAN blog, the proceeds of this event go towards a great cause. This year’s community partner is Asian Bi-Cultural Mental Health Services at Henry Street Settlement.

While recent tragic events in the news highlight the need for adequate mental health services, as well as the prevalence and ubiquity of mental illness, a stigma still remains for many – there’s a long way to go. Ticket proceeds from this year’s Plate by Plate NY event will help to expand the services and offerings of Henry Street’s Asian Bi-Cultural Mental Health Services. I’ve previously volunteered at Henry Street Settlement, and it is just a fantastic organization!
If you’d like to join me at Plate by Plate NY, tickets are still available here! (Tip – early bird pricing ends this Friday, so get a move on!) Let me know if you will be going – I love giving my readers a good ol’ Big Apple Nosh High 5!
