I recently had a coupon to try Hudson Hall, located in the Hudson Hotel.  I’ve visited the swanky hotel bar before (it looks like something out of ABC Carpet and Home) as well as dined at the Hall a few years ago.  My coupon was good for 2 cocktails and four dishes, so I treated an eating buddy to a light tapas-style dinner.

The first thing I noticed was that the format of Hudson Hall had changed – instead of traditional waiter service, the dishes were self-serve, almost like a fancier, trendy cafeteria:
