french-cheese-board-1Happy FRIDAY, Noshers!  We made it through another week!  The weather here in NYC has definitely take on a bit of a chill; it’s no longer summer anymore :(.  What fun plans do you have in store?

Today’s Fun Fact has to do with my favorite food – cheese.  I stopped by the French Cheese Board last night (a really fun space!) – for today and tomorrow only, The Cheese of Europe is hosting a pop-up shop there, where you can sample French cheeses, butter, and other delicious goodies and purchase some of your own at wholesale prices!  Seriously good deals – I thought they were misprints.

Eating cheese and taking some home for more eating – that’s pretty fun, right? 😉

Have a great weekend!

pinkberry-1Happy FRIDAY, Noshers!!  I’m kinda bummed summer is almost over (wahhh, sad face) but trying to make a most of these last warm days.  This weekend I will be spending time in the park, perhaps checking out the space show at one of my favorite museums in NYC, and trying to Escape the Room! I’m pretty psyched about my plans.  What do you have on the docket for this weekend?

Today, I’m excited to share a delicious (and for some of you, free(!) fun fact):

Next Monday is National Banana Split Day!  But wait, there’s more – to celebrate, if you stop by Pinkberry next Monday and purchase a medium-sized frozen yogurt, you have a 1 in 10 chance of getting it for FREE!

The above photo is my Pinkberry creation when I unknowingly visited during National Smores Day (as you can see, even though it was Smores day, I favored mango 🙂 ).  They were having the same promotion and I was the lucky 1 in 10!  I’ll definitely be trying my luck again on Monday!

What are your favorite frozen yogurt toppings?

Happy Friday, Noshers :).  I am so glad that it is finally the weekend – so glad!  Plans include catching up on sleep, dog sitting, seeing Spock crush Zach Quinto in The Glass Menagerie, meals with friends, and of course hosting my NoshGirl: Guilty Snack virtual party – will you be attending??

Happy Friday, Noshers!

Yummy Cinnamon Rolls via fellow Nosher The Nifty Foodie, during the Noshgirl Party: Weekend Breakfast!

We did it! We survived the bitter cold.  I spoke to several people across the country, and it seems like the temperatures plummeted all over the place.  Although I must admit that when I hear of someone living in an area where the regular temperature is in the 80s, and it dropped down to the low 70s, I can’t say I feel much sympathy 😉

Today’s Fun Fact is more of a question – a fellow Nosher asked when the next NoshGirl (virtual) party was happening.  For those of you who haven’t attended a NoshGirl party before, I encourage you to attend!  Check out this page for the previous parties I’ve hosted.  Basically, a few days before the party weekend, I post a the secret party food – previous foods have included frozen yorgurt, late night snacks, weekend breakfast, etc.  Then all of us Noshers participate in the party by eating the secret party food and snapping a photo of it and posting/sending me a photo!  I will then compile all the photos and post them (with a link to you of course) so we can see what all the party Noshers ate – it’s so fun to see submissions from as far as Vietnam and Germany!

I’m super excited to launch this again – so my Fun Question to you is –

Would you like to attend a NoshGirl party? If so, what food would you like to see as the “secret party food”?

I’ll also be posting this on twitter/FB/Instagram – can’t wait to see what you all think!

Happy weekend!

Cooking / Eating In

Happy Friday, Noshers!  How many of you were hit by snow storm Hercules?  The subway stairwell near me wasn’t shoveled this morning, so I literally had to slide into the subway entrance – boy was that a harrowing experience!  Hope you are all staying warm and indoors – the cold is brutal out there!

Today’s Fun Fact is regarding my resolution for 2014 – I’m posting it here and counting on all of you to keep me honest!

A photo from my post on how to prepare fava beans

My resolution for 2014 is to eat more fruits and vegetables.

As you may recall, my Veggie Resolution in 2011 introduced me to 20 new ways to prepare vegetables.  I may need to revisit that and expand as well!

Help me out here – what are your favorite ways to eat fruits and vegetables?
