When I visited Ireland last year, I spent a few days at the Park Hotel Kenmare while sightseeing around the Ring of Kerry (I highly recommend checking out the Wild Atlantic Way – aka the West coast – of Ireland by the way; it’s breathtaking). Built in 1897, the Park Hotel Kenmare is situated on Kenmare Bay with mountain views, tons of scenic walks (or as I like to call them โ€“ โ€œhike litesโ€), a delicious restaurant, and a resident horse :). The hotel itself is tucked away in a quiet and serene location but still centrally located to local sights.ย  Lucky for you, I captured some moments from my brief but memorable stay ๐Ÿ˜‰ :

Ireland: The K Club

During my roadtrip around Ireland last year, we spent a few days at the K Club in County Kildare.ย  Just about an hour outside of Dublin, the K Club is located on a sprawling property that includes perfectly manicured gardens, an award winning golf course that hosted the Ryder Cup, multiple restaurants, and (though not advertised) a patch of lawn in which I found multiple 4- and 5-leaf clovers ๐Ÿ™‚ Continue Reading

The Food of Ballyfin

In my last post, I shared about the amazingly beautiful grounds of Ballyfin and the exemplary service.ย  In this post, I’m excited to share about one of the things that most compels me to travel – FOOD!!ย  Ballyfin has a vast fruit and veggie orchard, chicken coop, and bee hives from which the chef sources his produce, eggs, and honey.
