Thai: Somtum Der

Eating Out

Last week, I was invited to the (fairly) recently opened Thai restaurant Somtum Der, in the East Village. I had heard good things about it but hadn’t yet had the chance to try it out – so I was happy have the opportunity to do so now! I’ve been to Spice for both lunch and dinner, and the food has been relatively consistent. The service, however, can vary. One dinner excursion, my food was so slow to arrive that they gave me a complimentary lychee ice tea. Thanks, but I’d rather have my food.
