The weather in NYC has been a little temperamental these days, hasn’t it? Don’t get me wrong, I love summers in city – but the occasional super hot, high humidity days are a bit tough.  Always looking on the dairy side of life, I used one of these days recently to finally pay a visit to Ample Hills Creamery.  Ample Hills has been around for 7ish years now, but I never had it before last month – I know, a travesty! I stopped by the High Line location, which was, unsurprisingly, packed.

There were so many fun flavors to choose from, such as Baby I was Churned This Way, Snap Mallow Pop, and Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, to name a few!

After trying a few samples, I went with the appropriately named “Munchies” flavor – pretzel flavored ice cream with potato chips, Ritz crackers, pretzels, and M&Ms. I’m a sucker for sweet and salty combos, so this was right up my alley.

I’m not ashamed to admit that my ice cream (a cup WITH a cone, which is how I always order it – the cone itself makes me too nervous to enjoy the ice cream, ha!) disappeared very quickly.  And, I wouldn’t be surprised if I paid a return visit for Munchies 2.

Have you tried Ample Hills Creamery before?  If so, what flavor is your favorite?
