Happy FriYAY, Noshers!! Today I’m happy to share our first experience with BarkBox – or rather, Toby’s first experience with BarkBox! I realize I haven’t done a proper introduction of the newest member of the Nosh family – I’ll have to remedy that soon! In the meantime, Toby’s friend Buddy sent us a BarkBox as a welcome gift. Isn’t that sweet? September’s theme was Bark to School, of course! As you can see in the first photo, Toby was getting pretty impatient while waiting for me to take a photo – he wanted do dig right into the goodies. Can you blame him?
For the uninitiated, BarkBox is a monthly subscription box service for – you guessed it – your dog, featuring toys, treats, and goodies! I have a Korean beauty subscription box (Jini Beauty, which I’ve written about here on the blog), so why shouldn’t my dog have one as well? The Bark to School box definitely didn’t disappoint:

Happy Wednesday, all! Today, I’m super excited to share some snaps from a recent weekend trip to Scottsdale and Sedona. This part of the country is just amazing – red rocks galore, saguaros towering over agave plants, and 120 degree weather (as I’ve told everyone who gasped – “But it’s a dry heat!”). I completed some fantastic hikes and relaxed a ton at our home base resort. I think the pictures speak for themselves though – check it out!
Don’t have much to complain about when was the view from our balcony at The Westin Kierland! As a loyal Starwood Preferred Guest member, we used points to pay for this room. Yay!
Celebrating Pride in Kansas City this weekend. To LGBTQ friends and family, I stand with you, I’m proud of you, and you are loved.

If you’re a regular visitor to the Big Apple Nosh blog, you *may* notice a blog redesign. Yup, that’s right! After 5 years of my previous design (and 6 years of blogging total!), I decided to treat this lil ol’ blog to a face lift! I’m loving the fresh clean look, and I hope you’re a fan too! Content wise, there will also a few changes here and there – I’ve been dabbling a little beyond my usual posts to include not only food, but my thoughts on beauty, fitness/health, and life in general. Trust me, I’m very much a beauty products and fitness novice (I’m the klutziest person I know!), so I’m writing about these things from an “everygirl” perspective – be prepared for some laughs (at my expense) and hi-jinks along the way :). And of course, I’ll still be taking a ton of pictures and writing about my first love, FOOD.
