I’ve been obsessed with Seamore’s lately – a casual seafood restaurant with locations throughout NYC (and they just opened a new location right near my workplace – woohoo!).  With a simple menu featuring favorites like guac, lobster mac and cheese (yum – this is SO GOOD), and fish tacos, there’s something for everyone.  During my last visit, I had such a difficult time choosing what to order, but finally decided on the summer gazpacho and the blackened shrimp tacos.  I was not disappointed.

The summer gazpacho featured chilled lobster, strawberry and tomato and was perfect for the summer heat wave that rolled through NYC:

Each taco order comes with two tacos served on corn tortillas – a serving size just right to satiate you but leave room for dessert. The blackened shrimp tacos featured guacamole, queso fresco, pico de gallo and chipotle aioli.  They were amazing.

My eating buddy ordered the “reel deal” – one of the catches of the day with a choice of sauce (red curry, charred scallion, lemongrass aji, or miso brown butter) and a choice of 3 sides.

He chose the hake with the charred scallion sauce and kale+avocado salad, mac + cheese, and roasted summer squash for the sides. You better believe my fork made its way over for multiple bites of the mac + cheese!

If you’re ever in the vicinity of a Seamore’s, I definitely recommend you stop in and check it out.  The casual vibe, fresh seafood, and simple yet delicious preparations are top-notch!
